Our Content
Safe Sleep Space is an Australian Council of Healthcare Services (ACHS) EQuIP6 accredited organisation. We are passionate about supporting parents with high quality, engaging and easy to understand antenatal and early parenting education.
We work with a team of health professionals and accredited health writers to create and publish our course content.
While our content is reviewed for clinical accuracy every 1-4 years, depending on subject matter, it is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Content Contributors
A number of health professionals, health writers and researchers contribute to the development of Safe Sleep Space’s content including:
Jane Barry
Jane has qualifications in general, paediatric, immunisation, midwifery and child health nursing. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Applied Science (Nursing) and has almost 30 years specialist experience in child health nursing. She is a member of a number of professionally affiliated organisations including AHPRA, The Australasian Medical Writer’s Association, Health Writer Hub and Australian College of Children and Young People’s Nurses.
Cindy Davenport
Cindy is the Founding Director of Safe Sleep Space and also oversees our consultant team. She is a registered midwife, IBCLC and maternal and child health nurse. She is member of the Lactation Consultants of Australia and New Zealand (LCANZ) and the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) and has worked in the early parenting field since 1998. Cindy is passionate about the health and wellbeing of families and offers a sensible, response-based approach to help babies and children with sleep problems.
