Let's talk about Bottle Propping
Bottle propping is a feeding technique that involves the bottle being propped up, or supported by a pillow, blanket or soft toy. The bottle is positioned at an angle so that the milk fills the neck of the bottle and the teat. Essentially the baby is on their own in their cot/pram/on the floor, instead of having a carer of parent holding their bottle to feed them.
There are various factors and risks that need to be considered with this practice, however.
